Brooks Mid Century Kitchen
After purchasing a mid-century built home in the Boston suburbs, our clients first plan of action was updating the small, closed off 1950s style kitchen. After some careful site inspection and space planning, Petarson presented an entirely new programming which included the removal of several walls. The result was a reimagined space, going from a 150 sq foot kitchen to an open, airy and perfect for entertaining kitchen. Complete with a banquette seating area for dining, a beverage station and a 10 foot island, the space now functions for the husband-and-wife duo who regularly entertain for pool parties and dinner feasts. A durable waterfall countertop wraps the island while warm, organic butcher block countertops graze the perimeter. The space now complements the mid-century style home, while leaning into the client’s aesthetic which is influenced by their time living in London.
