Mill Pond Redefined: A First-Floor Makeover
A complete remodel of the first floor of a 1915 cottage. We reworked the interior plan including relocation of a bathroom. New programming includes a simplified and classic yet quirky design language. We took a lot of inspiration from the site location to create a layout that works for our client yet retains historical charm.

A new kitchen layout features custom millwork, solid brass hardware, custom vent hood and matte honed countertops. Our client is a collector of art, including many vintage pieces, so finding a home for her many collectibles was central to our programming. While the home is historical, it’s quaint size speaks to a less formal aesthetic. The cottage now functions well for both morning coffee and weekend dinner parties.
